Noida, India: In a significant step toward deepening cultural ties and creative cooperation among BRICS nations, a visionary proposal for the creation of BRICS+ Films was formally presented at Marwah Studios. The initiative aims to produce films within a short span of time across BRICS countries, fostering strong cultural collaboration, creative exchange, and people-to-people connectivity among member nations.
The proposal was brought by Atul Upadhaya from Moscow, Russia, who discussed the concept in detail with Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Marwah Studios, Chair of the Indo-Russia Film and Cultural Forum, Patron of the BRICS International Forum, and Brand Ambassador for BRICS+ Fashion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah emphasized the importance of cinema as a powerful medium of unity and global dialogue. He stated that BRICS+ Films will serve as a platform to tell shared stories, highlight cultural diversity, and showcase the collective cinematic talent of BRICS nations—Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa—to audiences worldwide.
“Cinema has the power to transcend borders and bring nations closer. BRICS+ Films will not only promote creative excellence but also strengthen mutual understanding, friendship, and cultural diplomacy among BRICS countries,” said Dr. Marwah.
The initiative envisions joint productions, talent exchange, co-created content, and collaborative storytelling that reflects the social, cultural, and artistic richness of BRICS nations. By leveraging the strengths of each country’s film industry, BRICS+ Films aims to emerge as a strong global cultural force.
This landmark proposal marks another milestone in advancing cultural relations within the BRICS framework and reaffirms Marwah Studios’ continued commitment to international cooperation through art, cinema, fashion, and media.
