Dr. Sandeep Marwah Honored at BSL Global Outreach Summit and Excellence Awards at Bharat Mandapam

New Delhi, August, 2025: The prestigious BSL Global Outreach Summit and Excellence Awards was held at the iconic Bharat Mandapam, celebrating visionary leaders and innovators in the textile, fashion, and design industries. The event was curated by Raadha Iyer and designed by Raman Dutta, who shared the mission of the summit to align with India’s Vision 2030 by promoting sustainability, innovation, and global collaboration in the textile sector.

Raman Dutta, in his opening remarks, stated, “Our goal is to strengthen India’s textile trade globally by fostering innovation, sustainability, and excellence. We aim to expand market access, enhance industry capabilities, and promote cross-border collaboration. Through policy advocacy, skill development, and trade facilitation, we are committed to positioning India as a global leader in textiles.”

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of AAFT School of Fashion and Design and President of Global Fashion Week Noida—the world’s largest academic fashion week—was a distinguished guest at the summit. In his address, Dr. Marwah emphasized the powerful role education and creativity play in shaping the future of the fashion and design industry. “India’s strength lies in its cultural heritage, craftsmanship, and young talent. Through education and global exposure, we can create a new narrative for Indian fashion that is both rooted and revolutionary,” he said.

Dr. Marwah was later honored with the Excellence Award for his invaluable contribution to the fashion and design industry, especially through the AAFT School of Fashion and Design and his leadership in organizing Global Fashion Week Noida, which has become a global platform for emerging designers and fashion educators.

The summit brought together leading designers, policymakers, business leaders, and educators to chart a collaborative path for India’s sustainable and fashionable future.
