ICMEI Signs MoU with Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Noida: In a significant step towards enhancing economic, cultural, and business relations between India and Japan, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce (IJCC) at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida.

The agreement aims to promote bilateral trade, business cooperation, cultural exchange, educational collaboration, and stronger people-to-people relations between the two friendly nations. The partnership will facilitate joint initiatives, business delegations, seminars, cultural programs, and networking opportunities for organizations and professionals from India and Japan.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chancellor of AAFT University, emphasized the importance of international partnerships in creating new avenues for cooperation. “India and Japan share a long-standing relationship based on mutual trust, respect, and shared values. This MoU will further strengthen our efforts to promote trade, culture, media, education, and tourism while encouraging greater interaction between the people of both countries,” said Dr. Marwah.

Rahul Mishra, Chairman of the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the vision and role of IJCC in fostering stronger ties between the two nations. He stated, “The Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce is a professional body dedicated to strengthening economic, trade, cultural, and business cooperation between India and Japan. IJCC facilitates industry connections, supports bilateral business initiatives, hosts delegations and events, and provides a valuable platform for companies and professionals from both countries to collaborate, innovate, and grow together.”

The ceremony was also attended by Surajeet Kalita, Co-Founder and Vice Chairman of IJCC, and Mr. Parijat Tiwari, Senior Consultant for Indo-Japan Bilateral Trade and Economic Relations. Both dignitaries expressed their confidence that the partnership would create meaningful opportunities for businesses, entrepreneurs, educational institutions, and cultural organizations from India and Japan.

The MoU marks the beginning of a new chapter of collaboration between ICMEI and IJCC, reinforcing their shared commitment to promoting international cooperation, economic development, cultural understanding, and sustainable growth between the two nations.

The event concluded with an interactive discussion on future initiatives and collaborative projects designed to further strengthen Indo-Japanese relations across multiple sectors through Indo Japan Film and Cultural Foum of ICMEI.
