Indo-Spain Film & Cultural Forum Joins Hands with Robert Masih Nahar to Strengthen India-Spain Cultural Ties
Noida, India: In a significant step toward enhancing cultural and creative cooperation between India and Spain, the Indo-Spain Film & Cultural Forum, under the aegis of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), has joined hands with Mr. Robert Masih Nahar, former Senator from Barcelona in the Spanish Senate and President of the Indian Culture Centre Foundation in Spain.
This landmark collaboration aims to foster greater understanding, exchange, and development between the people of both countries through cinema, art, literature, education, and cultural diplomacy.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Robert Masih Nahar expressed deep enthusiasm for the initiative: “This partnership is a powerful bridge between the people of Spain and India. Our foundation has long worked toward promoting Indian culture in Spain, and this new collaboration with the Indo-Spain Film & Cultural Forum will further amplify that mission across borders through creative arts and education.”
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and founder of the Indo-Spain Film & Cultural Forum, also emphasized the vision behind the partnership: “Culture connects hearts, and cinema speaks a universal language. Through this joint initiative, we aim to celebrate the shared values and vibrant diversity of both nations. This collaboration is not just institutional—it is a cultural embrace between India and Spain.”
The Indo-Spain Film & Cultural Forum, established by ICMEI in collaboration with the Embassy of Spain in India, has been actively promoting bilateral activities including film screenings, cultural events, student exchange programs, and collaborative productions.
This partnership with Mr. Nahar’s Indian Culture Centre Foundation is expected to boost on-ground activities in Spain, facilitate dialogue between artists and institutions, and inspire new avenues of cooperation in both traditional and digital media.
The announcement was made during a ceremonial gathering attended by dignitaries from the diplomatic, cultural, and academic communities, reaffirming the shared commitment to enriching people-to-people connections between India and Spain.
