Noida, India: The Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum, in collaboration with the Embassy of Vietnam in India, made a distinguished mark at the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week (GFDW) Noida 2025, the world’s largest fashion week ever held by an academic institution.
The event, organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) Fashion Committee, in association with AAFT School of Fashion and Design and AAFT School of Interior Designing, brought together a spectacular array of creative expressions. This year’s edition featured: 200 designers, 550 designer garments, 125 unique furniture pieces, 90 fashion rounds across 9 major shows, 6 exhibitions showcasing art, design, and innovation, 9 international culinary displays representing global flavors.
Additionally, the week included fashion film screenings, live broadcasts on MSTV and Radio Noida, and the participation of over 600 media houses from around the world.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum, expressed pride in the Forum’s active and creative participation. “The Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum has always stood as a cultural bridge between the people of India and Vietnam. Our contribution this year further strengthens our shared vision of artistic collaboration and mutual respect,” he stated.
This year’s featured collection, inspired by Vietnam’s serene water lilies and the timeless beauty of Dong Ho paintings, was a visual treat. The garments were a tribute to the Vietnamese philosophy of the “art of life,” skillfully blending tradition with haute couture. Highlights of the collection included: Ball gowns, elegant flowing trails, and tailored pants; Crafted from premium crepe, satin, and lycra; Embellished with intricate 3D floral embroidery in vibrant shades of white, red, pink, green, and brown.
Perfectly suited for international red carpets such as the Cannes Film Festival or the Met Gala, this line of fashion celebrated Vietnam’s cultural artistry, harmony with nature, and refined elegance.
The Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum, since its inception, has worked relentlessly to develop and promote people-to-people relations between India and Vietnam through film, fashion, and the arts.
