Mumbai / Noida, India: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Member of the Executive Body of the Film Federation of India (FFI) and Chair of the newly constituted CINEKIND National Awards, informed the media about the formation of the distinguished jury while interacting with the press. The prestigious awards have been instituted by the Film Federation of India with a unique focus on promoting sensitivity, compassion, and responsible storytelling, particularly in association and consultation with People For Animals Organization.
Dr. Marwah stated that the jury for the first-ever CINEKIND National Awards comprises eminent and highly respected professionals from Indian cinema and creative industries, known for their excellence, integrity, and social consciousness. The jury board includes Ms. Mimi Chakraborty, acclaimed actress and former Member of Parliament; Ms. Esha Dutta, Director; legendary actor Mr. Sabyasachi Chakrabarty; Ms. Manju Borah, Director and Writer; Mr. Rathnaja (Prakash H.B.), Writer and Director; Ms. Meghna Dharamsey, Designer; Ms. Satarupa Sanyal, Producer, Director and Actress; and Mr. Sachin Sudhakaran, renowned Sound Designer.
Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Dr. Sandeep Marwah emphasized that the CINEKIND Awards are a pioneering step towards recognizing films and creative works that uphold kindness, empathy, and respect towards people, animals, and society at large.
