Sandeep Marwah Visits Vatican City to Promote Global Peace and Cultural Dialogue under Indo-Vatican Cultural Forum
Vatican City – May 2025 – In a profound gesture of spiritual diplomacy and global cultural engagement, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the World Peace Development and Research Foundation and an international icon of media, culture, and education, paid a solemn visit to Vatican City, the smallest yet one of the most spiritually significant nations in the world.
Dr. Marwah’s visit marks a continuation of his commitment to fostering global peace, interfaith harmony, and cultural cooperation. His previous historic visit to the Vatican was during the canonization ceremony of Mother Teresa, when she was declared a Saint, a moment that deeply moved global citizens and reaffirmed the values of compassion and service.
This latest visit comes at a moment of great significance as Robert Francis Prevost ascends as the 267th Pope, occupying the revered throne of St. Peter. Dr. Marwah offered his respectful greetings to the new Holy Father and extended his heartfelt wishes on behalf of the people of India and the members of the World Peace Development and Research Foundation (WPDRF).
“A visit to the Vatican is not just a journey across borders, it is a pilgrimage for the soul,” said Dr. Marwah. “It reminds us of the eternal values of love, humility, and humanity that bind all faiths together. The Vatican stands as a beacon of peace and moral wisdom, and we must draw strength from such sacred spaces to guide our modern world.”
As part of his mission, Dr. Marwah emphasized the importance of inter-religious dialogue and mutual respect through the growing initiative of the Indo-Vatican Cultural Forum, an organization he has helped shape to promote cultural exchange, spiritual understanding, and peaceful coexistence between India and the Holy See. The forum aims to build bridges through art, education, humanitarian programs, and shared values of unity and compassion.
The visit also included a tour of key spiritual and historical landmarks of Vatican City, including St. Peter’s Basilica, the Sistine Chapel, and the Vatican Museums, where Dr. Marwah reflected on the universal language of art as a tool for global peace.
Dr. Marwah, through the World Peace Development and Research Foundation, continues to lead numerous international efforts for peace, media diplomacy, and global cooperation, inspiring millions across the world with his actions and initiatives. His visit to the Vatican is yet another milestone in his lifelong journey to create a more connected and compassionate world.
