How to set up Bigpond webmail in outlook?

If you are Bigpond webmail users than must be aware about some top mail apps used globally like Outlook 365 by Microsoft, Mac Mail in apple or Thunderbird. Telstra users using these mail apps to keep their email updated get timely emails. But if you are new Bigpond mail users than will guide how to setup you Bigpond webmail account in Outlook.
Steps
• Open Outlook Classic App
• Go to Fille (Check at top left corner)
• Click Add New account
• Choose Imap or Pop
For Imap
• Enter Bigpond username
• Enter: Bigpond Password
• Server Name: Imap.telstra.com for Incoming Mail
• Port Number: 993
• Sever Name: Smtp.telstra.com for Outgoing Mail
• Port Number: 465 and 587
• Security Type: SSL
For POP
• Enter Bigpond username
• Enter: Bigpond password
• Server Name: Pop.telstra.com for Incoming Mail
• Port Number 995
• Security Type: SSL
• Server name.Smtp.telstra.com for outgoing mail
• Port Number: 465 or 587
• Click ok
After configure Bigpond Account in Outlook go to inbox and click send and receive your email will start sync with Bigpond. In case if outlook is rejecting sever request than you can take help of Bigpond Customer Service for support.
