Blue Oak School’s current Head of School, Jon Fulk, announced in April 2025 that he would be departing at the end of the 2025-26 school year. The Board of Trustees has begun a search for a new Head of School to begin July 2026 and selected Megan DeGuerre to chair the Search Committee. Megan DeGuerre and Carol Ritter (Board Chair) assembled a Search Committee to lead the process of identifying and evaluating candidates, and ultimately to recommend a new Head of School for approval of the Board. The Search Committee is composed of trustees, administrators, lower school faculty and middle school faculty members. In order to gain additional perspective and feedback, the Search Committee has also formed a Faculty & Administrative Advisory and asked faculty members from the Strategic Planning Committee to share their thoughts on finalist candidates with perspective on the school’s strategic priorities. These advisories will conduct interviews and provide feedback to the Search Committee in the finalist rounds.
