True First is a docudrama series that tells the stories of the “true firsts” who broke the color barrier as athletes, entertainers, politicians, innovators and pioneers. By recounting the accomplishments of the men and women of African descent who built our social, cultural and political institutions, True First restores a more inclusive accounting of the historical record of outstanding achievement.


We are currently seeking passionate guest posters of ALL races and backgrounds to contribute relevant, thought-provoking articles to our blog. The categories include (but not limited to) religion, politics, society, finance, culture and education. You write your heartfelt articles and we will find/create a suitable category for them. We will appreciate articles with a minimum of 500 words. The articles MUST be unique to our website. In other words, they cannot be published anywhere else.


In return, we will give you a tremendous amount of exposure. We have currently completed all 8 episodes of season one and will be delivering to the Urban Movie Channel, a streaming service created by Bob Johnson (the owner of RLJ Entertainment and the founder of BET). Each author will get a dedicated page with a list of your articles contributed and personal links you provide. Your articles will be promoted consistently on our social media pages, which will give you more exposure and visibility.
