Indo-Belarus Film and Cultural Forum Showcases Floral Elegance and Artistic Heritage at 9th Global Fashion and Design Week
Noida, India – The Indo-Belarus Film and Cultural Forum, in association with the Embassy of Belarus in India, made a remarkable contribution to the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week (GFDW) Noida 2025, hosted at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. Widely celebrated as the world’s largest fashion week ever conducted by an academic institution, GFDW 2025 proved once again to be a vibrant confluence of fashion, creativity, and cultural diplomacy.
The event was steered under the visionary leadership of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) Fashion Committee, with strong collaboration from AAFT School of Fashion and Design and AAFT School of Interior Designing. The festival boasted participation from over 200 eminent designers, with 550 exclusive garments and 125 interior installations, making it a truly global showcase.
The Indo-Belarus Film and Cultural Forum, a consistent pillar of international collaboration, added immense charm to the event with its Belarus-inspired fashion presentation. The collection drew inspiration from the romantic theme “Lovers on the Lilac”, reflecting the poetic and serene aura of Belarusian floral landscapes. The garments, made of luxurious Japanese cotton, featured body-fitted silhouettes in soft hues of lavender, lilac, pink, and blue — celebrating nature, love, and timeless elegance.
In a special gesture towards cultural integration, a furniture piece inspired by Belarusian design sensibilities was also exhibited. This symbolic addition emphasized the connection between Belarusian aesthetics and contemporary Indian craftsmanship.
Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Indo-Belarus Film and Cultural Forum, stated, “India and Belarus share a strong bond that can be further deepened through creative collaborations in art and culture. The fashion inspired by Belarus this year is a beautiful reminder of how elegance, nature, and love can transcend borders.”
GFDW 2025 featured nine major shows, 90 fashion rounds, six curated exhibitions, and nine international culinary experiences, all broadcast live on MSTV and Radio Noida, with coverage from over 600 international media outlets.
The Indo-Belarus showcase not only highlighted the cultural synergy between the two nations but also stood as a testament to fashion’s role as a universal language of beauty and peace.
